Have you seen this movie!?
What catches your spying-eye radar!?

‘Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore’ is a comedy drama film (written by Robert Getchell & directed by Martin Scorsese) that debuted in theaters 12/09/1974, ~3 months after “Little House On The Prairie” (featured in this week’s “TV Tuesday” seen via THIS LINK HERE) debuted. Filming was done on location in Amado, Tucson & Phoenix AZ; an actual Mel’s Diner is in Phoenix. The motion picture opened to critical acclaim & was a box office hit. The soundtrack even includes Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You”, which had just been released earlier that year. I really want to see this movie because it sparked 1 of my favorite sitcoms: CBS’ “Alice”, which aired 08/1976 to 07/1985. The only movie cast member to reprise the same role on the series was Vic Taback as “Mel”; Diane Ladd joined the show later, but in a different role. The cast includes, along with Tayback & Ladd (“Flo”), Ellen Bursyn (“Alice”), Alfred Lutter (“Tommy”; he reprised the roll for the TV pilot only), Kris Kristofferson, Billy Bush, Valerie Curtin (“Vera”), Lelia Goldoni, Lane Bradbury, Jodie Foster, Harvey Keitel, Murray Moston & Harry Northup. Scorsese & Ladd’s daughter, Laura Dern, cameo as a customer & girl eating an ice cream cone in the diner respectively.
