Lincoln Theodore Monroe Andrew Perry & his Cadillac Phaeton:

Better known by his stage name, Stepin Fetchit, Perry was a comedian & movie star most popular in the 1930s. Billed as “The Laziest Man In The World”, Perry was the 1st black actor to receive screen credit in a film & become a millionaire. Born in Key West FL, Perry began entertaining in his teens &, by age 20, was a vaudeville artist & a traveling carnival show manager. His personal life was somewhat opposite of the character he portrayed; he was very literate & wrote for ‘The Chicago Defender’. Now, his character & stage act is seen more in a negative light. Movie credits include: 1925’s ‘The Mysterious Stranger’, 1927’s ‘In Old Kentucky’, 1929’s ‘Hearts In Dixie’, 1929’s ‘Show Boat’, 1930’s ‘A Tough Winter’, 1935’s ‘The Littlest Rebel’, 1937’s ‘On The Avenue’, 1948’s ‘Miracle In Harlem’ & 1974’s ‘Muhammad Ali, The Greatest’, among many others.
