Do you remember this series!?

I was so thrilled when I discovered “Wings” was coming back to TV, this time on the over-the-air digital classic channel Antenna TV.  As I watched episodes last week (11p & 11:30p US central), I quickly remembered how much I loved this show, which originally aired 04/19/1990 to 05/21/1997.  Set at the fictional Tom Nevers Field Airport in Nantucket MA, this series was created & produced by “Cheers” veterans David Angell, Peter Casey & David Lee, who later created “Frasier”.  Until 1976, the real-life island was the site of the US Navy’s Tom Nevers Naval Facility &, later, the Nantucket Hunting Association’s home.  A real restaurant in Nantucket, The Club Car, is often showcased on the show.  The feature airplane is a 1981 Cessna 402C.  The main cast includes Tim Daly, Steven Weber, Crystal Bernard, Thomas Haden Church, David Schramm, Rebecca Schull, Tony Shalhoub, Farrah Forke & Amy Yasbeck.  Recurring or guest roles were portrayed by Brian Haley, William Hickey, Don Murray, Phil Leeds, Mark Harelik, Abraham Benrubi, Gretchen German, Valerie Mahaffey, Michael Manasseri, Laura Innes, Caroline Aaron, Mitchell Ryan, Rose Marie, Gilbert Gottfried & John Hawkes.  Special guest stars include several members of the “Cheers” cast as their “Cheers” roles: Kelsey Grammar, Bebe Neuwirth, George Wendt, John Ratzenberger & Kirstie Alley.
