I think this is along the same line of feeling like nothing much changes day-to-day, until you look back & see where your life has gone & intersected with others; every day, indeed, shapes our lives slowly like dripping water shapes stone over time. Those with congenital heart defects or other chronic health issues may feel this a bit more, perhaps.
