Last week, I watched all Season 1 episodes of the original “Unsolved Mysteries” with host Robert Stack, featured previously in the 11/01/2016 “Tuesday TV” theme HERE. Among the cases were 2 from Medford OR, where I am now. I remembered parts of each: 1 was about Dennis Walker’s missing sports memorabilia; 1 was about Steven Cox wanted for fraud. Both profiles had scenes from Medford OR I recognized.

While I don’t know where I will land next (IL, another state, or ‘home’ on the road), connections like this make life interesting, regardless of the circumstances in which we find ourselves in any given moment. Yes, I still plan to re-launch OCSH back into the full-speed-ahead schedule this year, but that may wait while I go back to IL to get my best-ever car (2003 Mercury Grand Marquis LS), re-group & figure out where I go next. More details about all of this when available.

For this entry [‘Daily Vehicle Choice’ theme, usually at 3p US central], I spotlight a Season 1 Episode 22 story about 20th Century Motor Car Corporation &, more specifically, its founder, Geraldine Elizabeth Carmichael (AKA Jerry Dean Michael), who was hiding at the time. Much detail has been written & documented online about the company (started in 1974) & its leader, who promised a better, more economical car [The Dale & 2 complementary vehicles, all of which featured a 3-wheel design with a 2-cylinder engine], something gaining in popularity at the time given the fuel crisis. While Carmichael claimed to be the widow of a NASA structural engineer, an Indiana farm girl & the mother of 5, she, as Michael, had been wanted for counterfeiting since 1961. Fraud investigations of 20th CMCC in California led to Carmichael’s disappearance. “UM” helped capture her, under a different alias, in Dale TX. She served time & died of cancer in 2004.

So, had these been built by 20th CMCC & available to buy, which of these 3 proposed automobiles would you rather own-drive!?
The Dale
(prototype designed & built by Dale Clifft)
or
The Revelle
or
The Vanagen
