Do you remember this series!?
What catches your spying-eye radar!?

“The Fugitive” is a drama & originally aired on ABC, 09/17/1963 to 08/29/1967, totaling 120 51-minute episodes. The 1st 3 of the 4 seasons were filmed in black & white, with color taking over for the final season. Conceived by TV guru Roy Huggins (& produced by Quinn Martin), many believe the concept of the series was based on either the real-life story of Sam Sheppard (an Ohio doctor accused of murdering his wife) or the real-life story of George Elderly (a car mechanic charged with his wife’s murder), or perhaps even Victor Hugo’s 1862 book, ‘Les Miserables’. While other series such as “Route 66” featured wanderers finding adventure, “TF” explained why people never settled down & why people try to solve problems without the police. The premise of this show sparked many other series, including 1970’s “The Immortal”, 1983’s “A-Team”, 1984’s “Hot Pursuit”, 1987’s “Werewolf” & 1992’s “Renegade”. This series also spawned a movie in 1993 (with Harrison Ford as the main character) & a short-lived revival series (10/06/2000 to 05/25/2001) on CBS starring Tim Daly; both were produced by Arnold Kopelson. For the original TV series, the main cast includes David Janssen (title role), Barry Morse & Bill Raisch, with minor characters portrayed by Diane Brewster, Jacqueline Scott, James B Sikking, Rachel Ames, Barbara Rush, Eileen Heckart, Susan Oliver, Robert Duvall, Lee Philips, Albert Salmi, Sandy Kenyon, Ken Lynch, Herschel Bernardi, Jud Taylor & others. This series employed a plethora of guest stars, including notables (among MANY others) Richard Anderson, Joseph Campanella, Dabney Coleman, Ed Asner, Harold Gould, Shirley Knight, John Anderson, Ed Begley, Beau Bridges, James T Callahan, James Daly, Celeste Holm, Jack Klugman, Ted Knight, Leslie Nielsen, Suzanne Pleshette, Kurt Russell, Charles Bronson, Michael Conrad, Ossie Davis, Angie Dickinson, Lee Grant, Diane Ladd, Jack Lord, Carroll O’Connor, Mickey Rooney, Vin Scully, William Shatner & Jack Weston.
