“1st Monday” was a mid-season replacement drama focused on the US Supreme Court, inspired by the prominent part the SC played in settling the 2000 presidential election.  However, by the time the show premiered (01/15/2002), public interest in the high court had diminished.  Created by Donald P Bellisario (“JAG”, previously featured HERE) & Paul Levine, they chose the name to reference the 1st Monday in October, when each Supreme Court term begins.  The cast includes well-known names, including Joe Mantegna, James Garner, Charles Durning, Randy Vasquez, Hedy Burress, Christopher Wiehl & Joe Flanigan.  Supporting cast includes Camille Saviola, James McEachin, James Karen, Gail Strickland, Stephen Markle, Lyman Ward, Linda Purl, Brandon Davis, Rachel Grate, Charles Bierbauer & Dean Stockwell.
