“Coast-to-Coast” Road Trip, 06/28/2011. 5 years ago this very date & day, I traveled from Cuba MO to Tulsa OK. I took this picture outside the Wagon Wheel in Cuba MO before leaving ~8a US central:
My stops-visits during today’s drive along portions of Route 66 included Paris Springs MO (to see Gary, who has since died), Galena KS (Melba, since retired, at Cars On The Route), Riverton KS (Rainbow Bridge), Afton OK (to see Laurel at her Packard Museum; she has since died) & Catoosa OK (Blue Whale). I arrived at the hotel in Tulsa ~6p.
