I’ve had 4 open heart surgeries, 3 of those at Chicago’s Children’s Memorial Hospital. This is the 2nd week highlighting history of CMH; the 1st entry last week is HERE. Started in 1882 by Julia Porter after the death of her 13-year-old son Maurice, this is the CMH building ~1950:
