What catches your spying-eye radar!?

‘Straight Talk’ [which I finally saw when it was on LAFF-TV a few weeks ago now] is a comedy which entered theaters 04/03/1992 to mixed reviews, praise for the acting & criticism for the story. Directed by Barnet Kellman, the film stars Dolly Parton & James Woods. The majority of the movie was filmed in the historic downtown of Lemont IL in the early morning hours, with high-intensity floodlights to mimic daylight, to minimize interference with the general public, which crowded the streets. Tom’s Place (bar in the rain scene) & the featured Barber Shop are still open with some memorabilia. The rest of the cast: Jerry Orbach, Teri Hatcher, Jay Thomas, Griffin Dunne, Michael Madsen, Philip Bosco, Deirdre O’Connell, John Sayles, Spalding Gray, Amy Morton, Charles Fleischer, Keith MacKechnie, Paula Newsome, Tracy Letts & Joh Gegenhuber.
