***OC,SH original: collage of 07.24.2010 MidSummer Chitown Gathering & 11.08.2025 Fall Fun Chitown Meet’n’Greet events at Steak’n’Shake, Elgin IL***

In late October 2025, a friend told me the new owners at Elgin IL’s Steak’n’Shake were interested in doing events. I stopped by & spoke with the manager, who confirmed this. We agreed to monthly events.

Then, after a health scare, I decided to do a spontaneous event in early November 2025. That resulted in the “Fall Fun Chitown Meet’n’Greet”. 11 people attended the impromptu gathering.

For 2026, monthly events are in the works. 07.25.2026 is confirmed as the return of the “MidSummer Chitown Gathering”, the day before the huge car show in Sycamore IL. At this time (mid-November 2025), I am also considering weekly Saturday cruise nights.

ALL makes-models-years WELCOME at these FAMILY EVENTS because meeting new people, seeing vintage vehicles & spending time with friends is awesome!
