Do you remember this series!? What catches your spying-eye radar!?

“NYPD Blue” was created by Steven Bochco & David Milch, inspired by Milch’s relationship with Bill Clark, a former member of the New York City Police Department. Clark eventually became 1 of the show’s producers. The series remains ABC’s longest-running primetime 1-hour drama series, originally airing 09/21/1993 – 03/01/2005; it currently airs on the Heroes & Icons Network. The show was immediately controversial, with several smaller-market ABC stations refusing to air it, prompting ABC to contract with local stations or FOX affiliates. The show was critically acclaimed, praised for grittiness & its realistic portrayal of the cast’s personal & professional lives. Audiences agreed, keeping the show in the Top 20 for its 1st 7 seasons. The cast included Dennis Franz, Gordon Clapp, James McDaniel, Sherry Stringfield, Amy Brenneman, Nicholas Turturro (who currently stars in CBS’ “Blue Bloods”, which also features at least 1 actor from “Hill Street Blues”), Jimmy Smits, Sharon Lawrence, Gail O’Grady, Justine Miceli, Kim Delaney, Andrea Thompson, Rick Schroder, Bill Brochtrup, Henry Simmons, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Esai Morales, Charlotte Ross, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Jacqueline Obradors, John F Donohue, Bonnie Somerville & Currie Graham.
