Brian Wilson is an Inglewood CA-native singer-songwriter-musician-producer best known as the leader & co-founder of the Beach Boys, who also released a few tunes as a solo artist. Wilson wrote this song with Joe Thomas & Steve Dahl (a well-known Chicago radio personality); this single was released 05/19/1998 from his album ‘Imagination’ & peaked at #20 on the Adult Contemporary chart. An alternate version played in the late 1990s on Chicago’s WLUP & WCKG.

Tom Wopat is a Lodi WI-native singer-songwriter best known for his role as Luke Duke on TV’s “The Dukes Of Hazzard”. Like co-star John Schneider (Bo Duke), Wopat launched a solo country career after the series ended; however, Wopat didn’t enjoy similar success. Instead, only 3 of his 10 releases reached the Top 20, none entering the Top 15. This song, my favorite of his releases, debuted 01/09/1988, spent 17 weeks on the charts & peaked at #18. It has been relevant to me in various ways a few times.
